The route to ACA can be a hard slog no matter where on the ladder you start. Understanding the key dates for continuous assessments, final exams and results are crucial for any student. The above graphic seeks to give a comprehensive view of the exam cycles for each level of exams over the calendar year. Information regarding the dates are available from the December 2013 CAI student newlestter. I have outlined below a summary of the steps I used to create this graphic;

  • The inspiration for this graphic came from an excellent excel blog called Chandoo – here is a link to the particular post, which itself was based on a graph by the Economist;
  • I then used the key dates information provided by CAI for 2014 and incorporated them into the graphic; and
  • Finally I adjusted colourings, the pie chart in the middle and the exam breakdown on the right using basic excel functionality.
