Welcome to Accounting Milkman (“AM”) and my first, of what I hope will be many, posts! Hopefully you have had a chance to look around the site and get a feel for what AM is all about. If not, I will outline very briefly below what I hope AM can achieve.

 

Accounting Milkman is a one stop resource for students interested in becoming professional accountants and will provide information, tips and advice for anyone interested in internships and the milkround process.

 

The site will hopefully become an essential resource to any student researching for internships or milkround positions. Much of the vital information will be contained in dedicated webpages  (e.g. application process, interviews, firm choice etc) however I hope to supplement this by using the blog to answer typical questions students may have (so feel free to send them) and give timely posts during the year (e.g coming up to internship applications, how to prepare for the milkround next year, which subjects should I choose for final year? etc). Finally, the “Bookshelf” section will provide a useful resource for students to get sources of recent business news, books and information while the “Misc” section offers a lighter take on the milkround and will hopefully be useful as a much need source for procrastination!
