Exam Routes

Once you begin your professional studies it will become evident quite quickly just how diverse the student population is in terms of university/IoT, undegrad/postgrad degree subject, age, previous qualifications etc. Varying backgrounds will result in different pathways to becoming a qualified ACA – relevant undergraduate and postgraduate degrees offer exemptions to certain stages of the process. Coming in brand new to accountancy will see you start at the bottom of the ladder and work your way up over three years of exams. The above graphic hopefully summarises the various pathways available to prospective students and the dedication required. I have outlined below a summary of the steps I used to create this graphic;
